Barry Jhay’s Record Label Boss, Kashy Godson Commits Suicide

Kashy Godson – CEO of Cash Nation, the record label behind popular Afrobeats singer Barry Jhay reportedly commit suicide in the early hours of today.

It was alleged that he jumped from his house balcony after battling depression for a long time but there are also conflicting reports as other sources are saying that he was pushed off the building by someone he had a business transaction with.

Reporters also saw a video of his signee, Barry Jhay shortly before the incident alleging that Kashy had assaulted him in an apparent fight between the two.

Kashy was earlier arrested in 2020 by the EFCC for alleged involvement in cybercrime but was later released on bail.

Since the story broke, fans have been reacting with some suspecting foul play after Barry Jhay’s video was made public.

One Twitter user penned: ‘The story is a bit odd to be suicide, someone reportedly jumps just hours after having a clash with his signee Barry jhay? There’s something fishy between the lines.’

Another wrote ‘Not sure that thing is suicide. But what do I know’

Another user questioned the mode of suicide writing: ‘If person one commit suicide I’m very sure jumping from balcony no go be him easiest route out,omo I no believe this yarn at all.’
