Jamb update for candidates who couldn’t register due to NIN problem


Jamb 2021 UTME has started today Saturday 19 June, 2021

If you couldn’t register for the 2021 Jamb UTME due to NIN problems, there will be another opportunity to take the exams.


This is according to the organizers of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination [UTME] into Nigerian universities and other higher institutions.

Joint Admission Matriculation Board [Jamb] said they will arrange a mop up exam for those affected.

Due to National Identification Number (NIN) problems, a number of candidates could not register to sit for the exam this year.

Jamb statement said the date for the mop up examination will be announced subsequently.

Some candidates couldn’t complete the registration for the exercise due to of NIN which is compulsory for 2021 registration.

But JAMB has promised to make provisions to accommodate the interest of those that fall into that category.

JAMB Acting Director, Shittu Billiaminu said they will also organize mop up examination for candidates with other pending issues.

The ‘Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination’ which started today June 19, 2021 is expected to end on 3 July, 2021.

According to the examination body, over 1.3 million candidates successfully registered for the examination.
