Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe say her celebrating herself on Father’s Day wasn’t suppose be anybody’s headache.

The popular actress said this after her yesterday’s back and forth jab with estranged ex-husband, Lanre Gentry.

Mercy Aigbe and her former husband Lanre Gentry dragged each other on social media on who is the better, responsible ‘father’ between the two ex-lovers as the world celebrated Father’s Dat this weekend.

The ex-couples got married in 2013. The marriage was unsuccessful and later ended in divorce.

In a message she posyt on her Instagram page, she explained that she is celebrating herself because she plays the role of a father to her children.

She later cleared the air saying she’s not calling herself a man but she is playing the role of a father, despite that her children’s father is still alive.

Mercy who spoke on how she takes care of her two children says if you as a man is not performing your responsibilities towards your children, then you are not fit to be called a father.

Her ex-husband responded on his Instagram page also congratulating himsef and other fathers around the world.

In a subtle jab to the actress he said some women will be saying happy father’s day to themselves, when they are not good wives or mothers to their children.

This post lead to more jabs between the estranged couples as they trash each other on who takes responsibility or not on their children.

In one post, the actress accuse her ex-husband of lying and even deserve the most irresponsible father award.

Mr Gentry on his part say he doesn’t care how much money Mercy spends on their children as he has also paid the school fees of another man’s daughter in the past.

Mercy Aigbe and Lanre Gentry have one child together and this is not the first time they’ll be thrashing each other on social media.
