The Prince also revealed that his family tried to stop both he and Meghan Markle from leaving, even when his wife felt suicidal.

“My father used to say to me when I was younger … ‘Well, it was like that for me, so it’s going to be like that for you,’” the 36-year-old prince told Oprah Winfrey on their new Apple TV+ mental health show, “The Me You Can’t See.”

“That doesn’t make sense — just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean that your kids have to suffer, in fact quite the opposite. If you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever negative experiences that you had, you can make it right for your kids,” he added.

“Isn’t this all about breaking the cycle?’ he asked rhetorically. “Isn’t this all about making sure that history doesn’t repeat itself?”

Harry also likened the royal family to a prison, saying he felt “trapped.” He also assailed his family for trying to convince him to stay, even when his wife felt suicidal.

“That feeling of being trapped within the family, there was no option but to leave,” he said.

“Eventually when I made that decision for my family, I was still told, ‘You can’t do this.’ And it’s like, ‘Well, how bad does it have to get until I am allowed to do this?’ She [Markle] was going to end her life. It shouldn’t have to get to that.”

Harry added: “It’s incredibly triggering to potentially lose another woman in my life. Like the list is growing, and it all comes back to the same people, the same business model — the same industry.”

Prince Harry questioned his father’s parenting, asking, “Isn’t this all about breaking the cycle?”

He also claimed the royal family tried to smear his wife before the couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah, saying they are still “trying to control the narrative” and that he has “no regrets” after “speaking my truth.”

“Before the Oprah interview had aired, because of their headlines and that combined effort of The Firm and the media to smear her, I was woken up in the middle of the night to her [Meghan] crying in her pillow — because she doesn’t want to wake me up because I’m already carrying too much,” he said.

“That’s heartbreaking. I held her. We talked. She cried and she cried and she cried,” Harry said, adding that the couple felt abandoned by his family — one of their “biggest reasons” for leaving for the US.

Harry’s father, Prince Charles is the next in line to the British throne. His brother, Prince William is also the next in line after their father’s reign.

In a viral post on Facebook, Njenga highlighted what he believed were ‘errors’ contained in the statement, introducing the wordings he thought would be appropriate instead.

Njenga said he had a debate with his students who noted the statement was grammatically faulty right from the header to the closing sentence, pointing out the unnecessary wordings that had been carried therein.

Dear Buckingham Palace, In my morning class, we discussed the difference between active and passive writing, and we used your statement for practice. I asked my students to rewrite it using active language. Here is what they did.” he said in a caption before sharing the ‘corrected statement’

However, a lot of Facebook users were quick to point out that Mwalimu was himself wrong in his correction. Others simply criticize his post for being nonsensical.

“You just dumb how can u replace particularly to especially u get issue with English,” Marmah Martey wrote.

“You can’t know English than everyone including those you Learned English from. I mean the Englishmen,” Abubakar Sadik. reacted.

“He’s not right entirely. The fact that you want to change it from passive to active and or vice versa doesn’t mean you must remove some parts of the statement,” Bla Evans opined

Njenga’s Facebook page also has other posts on grammar corrections. His targets range from newspaper publications, to ex Presidents and he even corrected the United States embassy in a post.
