Three thugs jailed for raping prostitutes in a London brothel

Three ax-wielding marauders have been jailed after they raped and robbed two prostitutes in east London.

Edmilson Caimanque, 23, David Fonseca, 27, and Adilson Mendes-Namdja-Uare, 23, disguised as customers before barging into the brothel in Hackney, east London on June 12, 2019.

Mendes-Namdja-Uare had worked as a security guard for the brothel, so he knew the locations of the CCTV cameras and an axe which was kept hidden for emergencies.

They threatened the women inside with the axe and a knife, placed plastic bags over their heads and tied them to their beds.

Fonseca and Caimanque then raped the women before the gang stole £1,250 and a mobile phone.

Following a trial at Wood Green Crown Court, the men were jailed for a combined total of 43 years.

The court heard an investigation was launched by the police after a patient reported she had been raped at a sexual health clinic on Thursday, June 13, 2019.

Although the attackers had removed CCTV from the building, officers were able to trace them using DNA gathered from used condoms and phone records which showed they were in the area at the time.

Speaking of her trauma one victim said: ‘I am much more aggressive than I used to be.
