Military jets bomb Orlu Communities in search of ESN operatives

Combat planes of the Nigerian military paraded the troubled Orlu communities in Imo State in a bid to locate and engage operatives of the Eastern Security Network.

Several locals have shared videos of military planes hovering over their communities with reports of airstrikes and casualties.

In one video shared by a Biafra activist Emeka Gift, military aircraft can be seen hovering above with the sound of chaos in the background.

He captioned the video “There is currently air bombardments in Orlu Imo State by Nig soldiers. Many innocent people have been killed with airstrikes. We also learned that market places were affected.

Nig military is currently looking for #ESN who are checkmating the activities of killer Fulani herdsmen”

In January, the tension between the military and the Indigenous People of Biafra became violent when IPOB accused the Nigerian Army of killing five innocent residents of Okporo in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.
ESN is a vigilante security outfit created by IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu with the mandate of reducing insecurity in the South-Eastern states of Nigeria.
